As one of the first contemporary sushi restaurants in Midtown, The Fish has been a force of change and a popular late night dining destination for over thirteen years. The space, which was recently updated by Studio Red Architects, has a sense of flow making use of an updated color palate for a fresh and organic look and feel. Those familiar with the “original” inception of The Fish will appreciate the existing red color. The entrance and main bar oers an improved customer experience upon entering the restaurant. The sushi bar has also been redesigned with ample seating to create an interactive dining experience. Regulars can still enjoy The Fish’s brand of popular rolls like the Lickitty Spilt and the Millennium. They can also look forward to the introduction of the “Cold Line” featuring Tru„e Tuna composed of Bigeye tuna, tru„e citrus oil, yuzu tobiko and garlic chips, as well as the Tombo Ahia with Albacore tuna, pineapple, bell pepper, shallot and cilantro.

Chef Harold Wong’s passion for food started with summer trips to Taiwan working in his uncle’s sushi restaurant. After working for ten years, Wong eventually became an Executive Chef for one of Houston’s biggest Japanese restaurant groups. When Chef Wong moved on, he joined a James Beard award winning restaurant group, where he learned to pair proteins with light flavor ingredients to give it a refreshing taste.If you are looking for a unique venue to host an event or special occasion, Chef Wong and his staff will be happy to create a personalized menu tailored to your specific event needs.
